How to set up custom fields (forms) that must be filled in by customers?
To set up custom fields that customers must fill in when booking, you can use Bookingtjeneste.no's "Forms". This system allows you to create forms to collect important information from customers during the booking process. The information collected is stored on the customer's booking in your control panel. In addition, you can configure automatic notifications based on the information from the form through "Workflow" in the menu. This contributes to more efficient planning and improved customer service.
Benefits of Forms
- Create forms: You can create your own forms with different types of fields, such as text, dates, and choices.

- Automatic notification: Send email and SMS to customers with information from the forms (sent via Workflow).

Fields supported in Forms
- Label: Simple text.
- Text Input: Short text or word.
- Text Area: For longer text.
- Number Input: For numbers.
- Date (Date Input): For dates.
- Time (Time Input): For times.
- Select: Allows customers to choose from multiple options.
- Checkboxes: For yes/no choices or multiple choices.
- Radio Buttons: To select one option from several.
- File Upload: To upload files.
- Link: To add links.
- Email: To collect email addresses.
- Phone: To collect phone numbers.
Instructions on how to create a form
- Click on "Forms" in the menu.
- Create a name for the Form under "Form Name".
- Under the "Select services" field, you can either select services for which the form should be displayed, or leave it blank to display the form when booking all services.
- Choose which fields you want in the form, such as text boxes, dates, checkboxes, and more. Customize the “Form” and add questions that are relevant to your services. Adding fields to the form is very easy. With the drag and drop feature, you can grab an element and drag it to the desired form. When you add an element to a form, you can change the options on the right. For example, you can specify the label of the element, the placeholder, the help text, from these options.
- Via the "Form conditions" button, you can set up different conditions for your form.
- When you are finished with your form, click "Save form".
Editing or deleting forms
When you want to delete or edit a form, you can click the dots to the far right of a Form in the form overview, and then click "Edit" or "Delete."
