By using Bookingtjeneste.no and its associated services, you agree to the terms and conditions listed in the document on this page. These are regularly updated and it is your responsibility to keep yourself informed of any changes that may occur.

These terms and conditions (“Terms”) apply to suppliers who create their own booking system using Bookingtjeneste.no and offer services through this platform. A supplier in this context is a person or organization that offers products or services that can be booked by customers through the system.
These terms and conditions apply to the website and to transactions related to our products and services. You may be bound by additional contracts related to your relationship with us or the products/services you receive from us. If the provisions of any additional contracts conflict with these terms, the provisions of the additional contracts shall prevail.
By registering, accessing or otherwise using this website, you agree to be bound by these terms. Use of the website implies knowledge of and acceptance of the terms. In special cases, we may also ask for your express consent.


 

1. Introduction and Product

 

1.1 Introduction

  • These terms and conditions apply to suppliers who set up their own booking system via Bookingtjeneste.no and offer their services to customers.
  • By using Bookingtjeneste.no you confirm that you understand and accept these terms.

1.2 Product

  • Bookingservice.no is a flexible booking system that you can customize according to your preferences.
  • The service functions as an administration tool for scheduling appointments and reservations with your customers and can be used as a payment platform so that your company can receive payment.
  • The platform is designed to support the sale of your own services – for example, personal services, rental of premises, tools and equipment – but is not designed for the sale of tickets to large-scale events (e.g. concerts).
  • By using the platform, you agree to use it for its intended purpose and accept the limitations set forth.
 

 

2. Subscription, Registration and Payment

 

2.1 Registration and Subscription

  • Upon registration, you will be entered into a 30-day free trial of our Pro subscription, which includes all the necessary features to customize the service for your business. No card payment is required during the trial period.
  • To continue after the trial period, you must order a subscription via the control panel. The subscription is activated immediately after payment by card is completed.
  • You can choose a monthly or annual payment plan, and your subscription will automatically renew.
  • To subscribe, you must be 18 years of age or older, or have consent from a parent/legal guardian (sent to post@bookingtjeneste.no, and we reserve the right to require verification).

2.2 Product Overview

  • The main product is a unique website link that showcases your booking service.
  • You customize the service yourself via the control panel, and customers get their own customer panel with an overview of their bookings.
  • Standard features for each package are stated when ordering.

2.3 Termination

  • You can upgrade or downgrade your subscription via the control panel.
  • To cancel your subscription, click "Cancel Subscription." Upon cancellation, you will lose access to all features and the service will become inactive when the paid period expires. No refunds will be given for periods already paid.
  • You can also delete the service completely by contacting us via contact form or email (post@bookingtjeneste.no).

2.4 Recruitment program

  • You can send out your own referral link (available in your control panel) to recruit new customers.
  • If a person clicks on the link and orders a paid subscription within 60 days, you earn a commission:
    • Monthly subscription: 50 % commission on the first payment.
    • Annual subscription: 10 % commission.
  • The commission can be used to cover your own subscription expenses, but is not paid in cash.

2.5 Payment solutions

 
2.5.1 Card payment via BT Pay (Stripe)
  • Setup: Go to Settings → Payment Settings → Payment Methods → Stripe Connect. Activate the service with the "on/off" button and complete the registration.
  • Fee: Each transaction is charged a fee of 6.5% of the sales amount (for example, for a sale of NOK 300, NOK 19.5 is deducted, so you will receive approximately NOK 280.50 paid out).
  • Payout: Payments are made every 7 days via Stripe.
  • Restriction: Sales under 50 NOK are not permitted; violation may result in termination of the payment solution.
  • When using card payment, you also accept Stripe's terms and conditions (see Stripe terms).
2.5.2 Other Payment Solutions
  • Payment on site or via invoice: You can enable a solution where the customer pays on arrival or via your own invoice method. You can name this payment method yourself (e.g. "Payment on arrival").
  • Gift card: You can generate gift card codes with a predefined balance via the control panel, which can be used as a means of payment - the balance must cover or exceed the purchase price.
  • Coupon/Discount Code: You can create coupons or discount codes via your control panel.
  • For other payment solutions such as Stripe, Mollie, Vipps and Klarna, a separate contract with the respective provider is required. Bookingtjeneste.no offers technical support during configuration, but is not responsible for the providers' support.

2.6 SMS services

 
2.6.1 SMS notifications
  • Several Pro subscriptions include a fixed number of SMS notifications (e.g. 200 SMS per subscription period).
  • Unused SMS are not rolled over to the next period.
  • SMS can be sent to selected countries (including: Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Poland, England, Portugal, Greece, Croatia, Czech Republic, Faroe Islands, Greenland, Lithuania, USA and Turkey).
  • The sender for the SMS is set to "Reservation".
  • The SMS service is provided by Twilio (see Twilio's GDPR program).
2.6.2 SMS verification (OTP)
  • SMS verification (OTP) can be enabled with a Pro + SMS subscription to add an extra layer of security when verifying phone numbers.
  • You are responsible for correct implementation so that customers receive OTP on time.
  • In case of misuse or overuse, the service may be suspended, and we will offer a customized pricing package.

2.7 Email notifications

  • Email notifications are sent via Brevo's server infrastructure.
  • Our servers are located in the EU, with primary storage in French data centers (Online's DC2 and DC3 facilities in Vitry-sur-Seine, Ile-de-France) as well as in Google Cloud in Belgium.
  • Data is replicated at least three times across two geographic locations, and weekly encrypted backups are taken (with more frequent copying as needed).

2.8 Automation – Cron job

  • Cron jobs on our servers perform automatic tasks (such as sending reminders, updating databases) every 5 minutes.
  • Although the system is designed for high reliability, delays or errors may occur.

2.9 Server Operation and Hosting Services

  • The website is hosted on Kinsta.com servers, which use Google Cloud Platform.
  • Core features at Kinsta:
    1. High performance and reliability via Google Cloud Platform's Premium Tier Network and C2 Machines.
    2. Global availability through 35 data centers and an HTTP/3-enabled CDN.
    3. Advanced security with SOC 2 certification, isolated containers, strong firewalls, and DDoS protection from Cloudflare.
    4. Specialized WordPress hosting with staging environment, automatic backups, and performance monitoring.
    5. Fast and efficient customer support.
  • Server location: Netherlands, for optimal European availability.

2.10 Account and Resale

  • Each account is designed for a single business; sharing an account between multiple businesses is prohibited.
  • You can register an account on behalf of another business and resell the service for a higher cost.
  • Violation of these terms may result in immediate termination of your account.

2.11 Bonus product: Nettsidetjeneste.no

  • As part of the Pro subscriptions, you get access to a user-friendly website builder provided by Nettsidetjeneste.no, which allows you to connect to your own domain.
  • When using this service, the terms and conditions from Nettsidetjeneste.no apply (see https://www.nettsidetjeneste.no/vilkar).

2.12 Google Calendar Integration

By using our booking service, you get a seamless integration with Google Calendar. Every time a booking is made via the platform, all relevant booking details are automatically synchronized with your personal Google Calendar. This gives you an immediate and up-to-date overview of your appointments without manual work.

Setup and Use:

  • Follow the step-by-step guide under User Support to set up the integration. The guide is designed to be simple and understandable, regardless of your technical knowledge level.

Security and Data Protection:

  • Our platform is hosted on Kinsta.com servers with SSL encryption, ensuring that all data transmission between your device and our servers is protected from unauthorized access.
  • All access to and use of Google Calendar data is limited solely to functionality within the Bookingtjeneste.no application.

Data Use and Privacy:

  • Bookingtjeneste.no is committed to protecting the privacy and security of your data. No third parties, including AI models or other automated systems, have access to or receive data from Google Calendar.
  • User data from Google Calendar is only used to provide and improve our booking functionality and services, in full compliance with our internal policies.
  • We do not obtain separate consent for sharing Google Calendar data, as no data is shared with or made available to third parties.
  • Our use of Google Calendar data is fully transparent and in accordance with Google's API Services Limited Use Policy.

2.13 Electronic Communication

  • All communication with us, whether via email, SMS, chat or other tools, is considered written and binding.
  • Our communication tools should only be used for information related to bookings and reservations. Misuse (such as unsolicited marketing) may result in temporary or permanent suspension of your access.

2.14 Intellectual Property and Intellectual Property Rights

  • We or our licensors own all copyrights and other intellectual property rights to all content and data on Bookingtjeneste.no.
  • Unless otherwise specified, you are not granted the right to copy, distribute, reproduce, modify, decompile, transmit, download or commercialize the materials without written permission, except for the right to quote under applicable law.

2.15 Third Party Property

  • The Website may contain links or references to external websites. We have no control over the content or privacy practices of these websites and are therefore not responsible for them.
  • You should review the terms and conditions and privacy policies of external websites yourself.

2.16 Responsible Use

  • You undertake to use Bookingtjeneste.no in accordance with its purpose and applicable laws, regulations and industry standards.
  • It is strictly prohibited to publish or distribute malicious software, perform automated data collection, or engage in any other activity that may harm the system.
  • Especially for electronic sales and VAT processing:
    1. You are required to generate a PDF receipt for each online sale, which is automatically sent to both you and the customer.
    2. All invoices must clearly state VAT, and you are responsible for correct handling according to applicable tax regulations.
    3. You must immediately update your business information if there are any changes.
    4. Bookingtjeneste.no disclaims responsibility for errors in your VAT processing or journal entries.

2.17 Registration

  • You can register an account on the website.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and account information, and must notify us immediately of any suspected unauthorized use.
  • Account information should not be shared with others.

2.18 Content Posted by You

  • We offer open communication tools (booking, SMS notifications, email, comments, forums, reviews, etc.).
  • Although we cannot guarantee full monitoring, we reserve the right to remove or block content that violates these terms. Abuse may result in termination of your booking service.
  • PDF documents: For orders or other workflow activities, you can generate PDF documents (such as receipts) that are stored on our servers with unique, complex file names to protect your information.

2.19 Termination of Use

  • You can cancel your subscription via the control panel by clicking "Cancel subscription".
  • Upon termination, the service will remain active until the paid period expires; then your access will be terminated and no refunds will be given for periods already paid.
  • For full deletion of the service, contact us via contact form or email (post@bookingtjeneste.no).

2.20 Warranties and Liability

  • The Services are provided "as is" and "as available" without any warranty of any kind, either expressed or implied, regarding availability, accuracy or completeness.
  • We disclaim all warranties that cannot be limited under applicable law.
  • We are not liable for any direct or indirect damages, lost profits, data loss or other financial losses resulting from the use of the services.
  • Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid for the services.

2.21 Privacy

  • When registering and using the Services, you may be asked to provide personal information. You agree to provide accurate, correct and up-to-date information.
  • Your personal information is used exclusively to deliver the agreed services and for relevant communication.

2.22 Use of logo and marketing materials

By using Bookingtjeneste.no you agree that Bookingtjeneste.no may use your company or organization's name and logo as a reference in our marketing, including on our website, in advertising, campaigns or other marketing materials. If you do not wish this, you must notify us in writing by email to post@bookingtjeneste.no.

2.23 Accessibility

  • We are committed to making the website accessible to people with disabilities.
  • If you experience any accessibility issues, please let us know with a detailed description so we can take necessary action immediately.

2.24 Export Restrictions and Legal Compliance

  • Access to the Services from territories or countries where the content or purchase of the Services is illegal is prohibited.
  • You agree to use the Services in compliance with applicable export laws and regulations.

2.25 Assignment and Transfer

  • You may not assign, transfer or subcontract your rights or obligations under these Terms to a third party without our written consent.
  • Any such transfer without consent is considered invalid.

2.26 Breach of the Terms

  • In the event of a breach of these terms, we reserve the right to take action, including temporary or permanent suspension of your access, contact with your internet service provider, and/or legal action.
  • You agree to indemnify us for all claims, losses, costs and expenses arising from your breach.

2.27 Force majeure

  • Neither party shall be held liable for failure to fulfill obligations if this is due to circumstances beyond the parties' control (e.g. natural disasters, war, strikes, government measures).
  • The parties shall immediately notify each other and seek a reasonable solution.

2.28 Damages

  • You agree to indemnify, defend and hold us harmless from and against any and all claims, losses and damages arising from your breach, including claims relating to intellectual property rights and privacy.

2.29 Disclaimer

  • Failure to enforce any provision shall not be construed as a general waiver of our rights.
  • Rights that are not exercised on a given occasion can later be fully enforced.

2.30 Language

  • These terms and conditions shall be interpreted and applied exclusively in Norwegian Bokmål. All communication and correspondence shall be conducted in Norwegian.

2.31 Entire Agreement

  • These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, constitute the complete and sole binding agreement between you and Preferium AS with respect to the use of Bookingtjeneste.no.

2.32 Updating the Terms

  • We reserve the right to update these terms and conditions from time to time.
  • You are obliged to check the terms and conditions regularly for changes.
  • Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on the website, and your continued use will be deemed acceptance of the updated terms.

2.33 Choice of Law and Jurisdiction

  • These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with Norwegian law.
  • Any disputes shall be settled by the ordinary courts with Fredrikstad District Court as the venue.
