Services that are only available occasionally – perfect for courses, events and special offers

This guide shows you how to create a service in Bookingtjeneste.no that is only available at specific times – either occasionally or as a one-time event. This is perfect for services that do not occur regularly, but are offered on selected days and times.

Who is this suitable for?

This setup is well suited for:
✅ Courses (workshops, painting courses, yoga classes, workouts)

✅ Events (theme days, special events, private gatherings)

✅ Stand-alone services (consultations, special treatments, photo sessions)

✅ Occasional offers (e.g. drop-in hours, unique services only available occasionally)

⚠️ Important: Bookingtjeneste.no is not intended for selling tickets to large events with hundreds of participants. The platform is adapted for booking services, courses and events on a smaller scale. See our terms and conditions for more information.

How to set up a service with specific availability times and group booking

1. Create a new service

• Go to the Services section in the main menu.
• Create a new service and give it a descriptive name.
• Connect to a new option for the service.
• Set the duration of the service to 6 hours. (This is just an example – you can adjust the duration as needed.)

2. Set availability

• Go to the "Availability" tab under the relevant service.
• Set a separate availability for the service.
• Close every day so that the service is not available continuously.

3. Add specific days and times

• Navigate to the "Special Days" section of the service.
• Enter the desired date and time of availability, e.g. 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM on a specific day.
• Save the changes.

4. Enable group booking

• Select Group Booking in the service settings.
• Specify how many spaces should be available for booking.
• Save the changes.
