About Vipps Checkout

Bookingtjeneste.no is a proud partner of Vipps and has developed a seamless integration with Vipps Checkout. This makes it easy and secure for your customers to pay via Vipps directly during the booking process.

Fees

Fees per transaction can be found at Vipps.noBookingtjeneste.no does not charge any additional fees for using Vipps as a payment method.

Administration of Vipps

Vipps is fully integrated with Bookingtjeneste.no and works directly without additional setup. You can see if the customer has used Vipps Checkout under "Payments" in the main menu, where you get a full overview of all payments and payment status for each booking. For more details about a payment, you can log in to Vipps's control panel, where you can also find all transactions.

Instructions for setting up Vipps Checkout

• Register: Go to Vipps Portal and create an account.
• Once you are logged in, click on "Order more Vipps products" -> "Vipps Checkout".
• Fill in the fields. NB. Under "Who will integrate the solution?", select Bookingtjeneste.no as the supplier.
• The approval process may take a few days. While you wait, download and customize the terms and conditions that Vipps requires at the bottom of this page.
• When approval has been received from Vipps: Go to Settings -> Payment -> Payment methods (on Bookingtjeneste.no).
• Turn on the Vipps button and save the changes.
• Use the information from Vipps.no to fill out the layout:
  – Mode: Set to "Production".
  – Client ID
  – Client Secret
  – Vipps Subscription Key
  – Merchant Serial Number (MSN)
• Click "Save" at the top right.
• Vipps Checkout is now activated and ready to use.

Terms of Use Setup

Due to Vipps' strict requirements, terms of use must be available to your customers. Bookingtjeneste.no already includes general terms, but separate terms may be necessary in the following cases:

• Integration on your own website: If you use the booking service on your own website, make sure to provide your own terms.
• Using Vipps Checkout: Vipps requires that certain terms and conditions must be available to customers.
• Specific terms: Whether you have your own terms required for your booking service.

How to set up your terms (recommended)

• We have created a ready-made template for terms and conditions that covers the needs of most booking services. Feel free to add additional information if necessary. Customize this template by filling in the fields highlighted in blue and reviewing the content to ensure it meets your business's specific requirements. Then Save. Click here to download template. (the file is a Word file – .docx)
• Your terms and conditions must be uploaded to a server, e.g. Google Drive or any cloud-based solution where you can share documents with a link.
• Click on "Forms" in the main menu.
• Include a link to the terms and conditions and a mandatory checkbox that customers must check to complete their booking. Save the form.

NB. Alternatively, you can send us your terms and conditions at post@bookingtjeneste.no, and we will fix the setup for you.

Payment method logo

Do you want to use a different logo than the default Vipps logo in your system? You can easily customize this by going to the payment methods and selecting Vipps. Since Vipps supports both card payments and Vipps in one and the same method, we have designed an alternative logo that you can use if desired.
