Bookingtjeneste.no: SMS verification (OTP)

Bookingservice.no offers SMS verification (OTP) for customers during the booking process. As a supplier, you can enable this feature under settings. Please note that SMS verification requires one of our Pro + SMS subscriptions. This feature is included in all Pro + SMS subscriptions, but it does not work on Basic or Pro without an SMS subscription.

What is SMS verification (OTP)?

SMS verification (OTP, One-Time Password) sends a one-time code to the customer's phone number to verify their identity. Customers must enter their phone number and click the "Verify" button to receive the code via SMS. This code should then be entered into a separate field on the booking page, before the customer clicks the "Verify" button again. Once the number is verified, the customer can proceed to the next step in the booking process.

SMS verification provides an extra layer of security to ensure that customer information is correct and authentic.

Once a number is verified, our system remembers it. There is no need to verify the same number again, making for a simpler and faster booking process for future visits.

How to enable SMS verification (OTP):

1. Log in to your control panel at Bookingtjeneste.no.

2. Click on "Settings" in the main menu.

3. Click on “Integrations.”

4. Click on “SMS verification.”

5. Click the “Enabled” button, then “Save Changes.”

Now the function is activated!

Please note that SMS verification requires a Pro + SMS subscription, but the feature does not affect your included SMS. You have unlimited access to SMS verifications as long as your usage remains within normal usage. If we notice that your usage exceeds normal, we will contact you to find a customized pricing package to suit your needs.
